由 魏明光卓越發展基金與 亞洲出版業協會 (SOPA) 共同舉辦的「國際頂尖新聞論壇」,於 2025 年 11 月 1 日在政治大學公企中心舉行。
三位國際SOPA新聞獎得主分享了其獲獎作品背後的採訪故事,並與三位台灣得獎者展開對談,聚焦跨國報導策略、文化差異、新聞專業與生成式AI的挑戰。
論壇精彩內容包括:
- 《華爾街日報》Patricia Kowsmann 深入菲律賓詐騙集團採訪的真實故事
- 《The Information》劉倩兒談 Nvidia 晶片走私產業鏈報導的採訪策略
- 《金融時報》Kathrin Hille 分享台海軍事分析報導及文字與視覺團隊合作經驗
下午的圓桌對談則聚焦於台灣與亞洲故事如何進入國際新聞室視野、跨境報導挑戰,以及女性記者在新聞產業的職涯經驗。政治大學校長李蔡彥在閉幕致詞中強調基金宗旨:支持新聞教育、促進專業成長、推動國際交流與公共討論。
此次論壇是 SOPA Week 首次在台舉辦,也彰顯基金在推動新聞專業與國際交流上的持續努力。
Highlights: Distinguished International Forum on Journalism, 2025
The Distinguished International Forum on Journalism, co-hosted by the Wei Fund for Educational and Journalistic Excellence and the Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA), was held on November 1, 2025 at National Chengchi University. Three international SOPA award winners shared the stories behind their award-winning works and engaged in discussions with three Taiwanese laureates, covering cross-border reporting strategies, cultural differences, journalism professionalism, and challenges posed by generative AI.
Key highlights included:
- Patricia Kowsmann (The Wall Street Journal) on investigative reporting of the Philippine scam industry
- Qianer Liu (The Information) on reporting the Nvidia chip smuggling supply chain
- Kathrin Hille (Financial Times) on Taiwan Strait military analysis reporting and collaboration with visual teams
The afternoon roundtable focused on how Taiwanese and Asian stories reach global newsrooms, challenges in cross-border reporting, and career experiences of women journalists. NCCU President Tsai-Yen Li delivered closing remarks emphasizing the Fund’s mission: supporting journalism education, fostering professional growth, and promoting international exchange and public dialogue.
This forum marked the first SOPA Week held in Taiwan and highlights the Fund’s ongoing commitment to elevating journalistic excellence and global engagement.
